The bite from February 13-19 was very good for my vessel. I had several trips this week with the abnormall warm weather for mid February. With that being said that also brings out all the other fair weather fishermen and Walleye's generally don't like all that pressure in the clean water conditions.
Monday the 13 th Joel, Huck and Gary joined me at Everts Resort this morning. We set out to drag jigs around in the clean water We fished several areas today catching a few fish in each area. The biggest thing I noticed was to move around from spot to spot and catch the aggressive Walleye's then give them a break and come back. Gary got the biggest fish today right about 20 inches and Joel had the most for our day don't get me wrong Huck was doing very well then gave his hot seat up to Gary what a nice buddy he was. Great time guys look forward to another day with you in the future.
Friday Kevin, Jason and Kyle joined me. The bite was a little slower this morning but after a couple hours I decided to change things up and try a different technique. That ended up being the big deal breaker on the day. We started to boat quite a few Walleye's with the change in technique. Jason started our day out fast today but Kyle seemed to have the upper hand on numbers today even with the late surge from Kevin who boated our last three keepers on the day. As always Kevin it's seems to be a great time on the water with you and your buddies. Sure am glad I did not let you down after you talked me up to them in the way to the river.
Now with all that being said let's see how much the bite changes with all the boat pressure with the warmer temperatures Water levels were as low as they have been all winter and the clarity was about 4 foot.
Good luck out there guys and gals !!!!!!!
