With the river dropping as of late keeping up with the walleyes and there places the choose to move too each day can make it challenging at times and very rewarding others.
Over the last week the bite in my boat has been very good. Both Friday and Saturday I had the pleasure of sharing my boat with Jason and his dad Andrew. We fished one area on Friday and it kept producing really nice fish. Biggest thing you had to do was be patient when you had a bite these fish needed to be fed a little before the hook set. Jason ended up catching our biggest walleye on Friday.
Saturday the bite was not as good in this spot so after the first hour I decided to jump to another area and a great decision that was. The walleyes in this spot were on the chew this morning. Andrew had the hot hand today boating our fury 4 keepers and to see the smile on these gentlemen so faces after catching several walleyes over the last couple days was priceless. It was a great time on the water with you gentlemen and I look forward to another day.
Sunday, Wally and Jim met me at everts resort, we headed out today hoping to fish the same technique as the day before but the northwest winds out a damper in that. So we went to trolling cranks today. The walleyes were giving Wally every bit of fun he could have today trolling cranks. Not to be outdone today Jim caught several himself and even a drum here and there. It was fun guys and I bet you will have a great time with Marty as well the next couple days.
My he river level has dropped to about a 1 1/2 foot above normal as of late and the water temperature in my vessel has risin to 68 degrees. Summer time techniques are the way to go. Remember be patient out there guys and gals and good luck !!!!
