Mississippi River walleye report

It’s been a while since I’ve had time to do a report.  Not that I have not been fishing I have been a busy dad besides a fishing guide with graduation happening with my oldest daughter Renee.  What a busy but very exciting time for the wife and I.

I will make this report short and brief.  Over the last two weeks we have gone through several changes from river level dropping rather quickly to now it’s with the recent rains stayed pretty steady.  The bite on the river has been very good most of the time as of late.

I have been both pulling the rig and dragging jigs to put walleye and sauger in the boat.  Each spot requires a different technique depending on the flow in the area.  Water clarity has gone from very good to fair as of late.  Find the cleaner areas and you should be able to put Walleye’s in the live well.

I would like to thank all the clients I have had as of late and I look forward to getting you out in the new vessel real soon as I am heading North to pick her up in the morning.  Can’t wait to drive this new machine.

Water depths I have been getting fish in lately have ranged from 3-8 foot.  The water temperature has made it up to 76 degrees and the clarity has bounced around from 10 to 4 inches.  Summer techniques are in full swing now so have some fun folks.

Good luck out there guys and gals !!!!!!
