Over the last couple weeks the river has gone from over 11 ft to as of today 6.6 ft. It came up from all the rains in may and now dropped pretty fast make it challenging at times to get into a great bite.
With that being said, we have been putting plenty of Walleye's in the boat with a majorinty being on the shorter side. I always say be happy with a half dozen keepers on a half day trip when the conditions are changing so quickly. Now that things have settled down a little we've been able to start putting a few more in the coffin for the clients to take home.
The river system is pretty stained right now. So it takes some techniques out of play. Soon as she cleans up it will open up a variety of ways to put them into the boat. Lately we have been pulling three ways with crawlers, leeches, and even chubs at times. Each day has its strong point on which bait is hotter that why I recommend haveing all of them. You can purchase every bait I have mentioned at Four seasons sports or Everts Resort.
