Great weather and great fishing !!

Well as I write this report this morning the mighty Mississippi River is rising.   The Walleye's I was chasing the last few days will change areas so now it's time to adjust with them.

Last Thursday morning  Dave and I set out to teach him a few things about the system.  It did not take to long and Dave was putting Walleye's into the livewell to take a meal home for him and his wife.    We fished several areas today and catching Walleye's in just about every one.   Not all keeper size but finding them was key for future outings.  Great time dave and glad I was able to show you a little bit about the system.   See you at the next walleye searchers event.

Thursday afternoon I had the pleasure of sharing my vessel with Asia and her father Tom.  Tom is from Atlanta and Asia lives in Africa.   Yup I said Africa.   We had lots of discussions about where she lives including temperatures she told me they get up to 138 degrees i about fainted when she said her AC only comes on a night and set at88 degrees in one room in the house.   That's one tough family there.

Back to the fishing Asia and tom both caught several Walleye's today and had never caught one before.  I sure am glad they used me as a guide for there first taste of walleye fishing and hopefully the family down in Atlanta enjoys the walleye to eat.  It was an absolute great time and happy I could see a father daughter outing on the river.  Good luck in the future folks.

Friday morning Dave his son Dave Jr. and Jim met me at Everts Resort.   We headed down river to a few areas to chase Walleye's.  This bite was a little slower this morning so after a few hours I decided to give them a little break and chase some crappies.  Great decision because the gentlemen started putting a smack down on these slabs.  And I got lucky if you call it that and got into a nice 39.5 inch northern pike.

After a few hours we set out to finish the day walleye fishing and the seamed to be a little more aggressive this afternoon.  These gentlemen were an absolute blast to fish with and like always I look forward to another outing on the river with you gentlemen.

The water temperature has came back up to about 72 degrees with the unseasonable temperatures we have had as of late.  Things will change soon and we will have to change our techniques soon.  The Walleye's I have been catching have been spitting up lots of shad in the livewell so keep that in mind when figuring what to use for baits

good luck out there guys and gals !!!!!!
